Adding Funds To Your Account Balance

Need to add more money to your account balance from your credit card, or from a prepaid PIN code? Here's how!

On the TextNow app:

1. Open your TextNow app and sign into your account, if you haven't already.

2. Tap on the main menu button 3dashes-4.png , and then tap on the Account Balance.

3. To add a credit card on your account, tap on Add Credit Card.

4. Tap on Add Money to add funds to your account balance from your credit or debit card.

5. Tap on Apply a PIN Code to add funds from a prepaid PIN card. 

 


 

On TextNow.com:

1. Go to your Wireless Account page on TextNow.

2. Click on My Account in the top right-hand corner.

4. Click on Manage Payment.

    I don't understand if I should add money to my account or does the automatic billing kick in because I have 3 credit cards on file? I did add money and I guess my speed is running a little faster right now. I have to double check to see if it has been reset yet. Please tell me which comes first, automatic payment or adding money? Lisa

    Hey Lisa, sorry for the confusion! Adding credits to your account does not restart the subscription. It simply keeps the money on the Account Balance, to be used toward the next monthly billing.

    If you added credits to the account prior to your billing date, then it will use those credits for the payment rather than the credit card on file. At this point in time, when your service renews a little later on tonight, it will use the credits and won't charge your card for the service.

    Hi I made a payment and I have no service for the month. It was automatically deducted from my bank and the whole month I thought I didn't have the payment when my statement says I paid for it. Please help. Thank you

    Ok how do i give some credit for referring me to the textnow app.. Her text code was brandi6 i believe she has the textnow service but i have the app

    Hey Jeff! Essentially, the referral is meant to be used toward starting up paid service with us, rather than for signing up for a free account.

    We're happy to hear that you were able to find us through her referral, though, and should you decide to purchase monthly wireless service with us in the future, you can use that link/referral code to receive the $20 credit on both your accounts :)

    I accidentally added 10 dollars to my account balance which already had money to begin with..is there any way possible that I can get a refunded and have those ten deposited back into my debit card?
    Also, how do I use the money in my text acct to pay for my plan? Do I need to call you guys to tell you to charge me from there and not my debit card??

    Hey Barbara!

    I've refunded the $10 credit, just beware that it may take a few business days to show back up on your debit account. Otherwise, as long as you have credits on your "Account Balance" to cover the next bill, the system will automatically pull from there before charging your card :)

    Why does my account balance show $0 when was charged the rate of my plan at the time I ordered my phone. The phone is here but I can't use because it says the balance is $0

    Hey Alison! When you made your initial purchase, you paid for both the phone and the plan. The phone came pre-activated with the plan, so unless you added any additional credits afterward, your account balance is correct in displaying $0. You should be able to activate the device by logging into your TextNow account on the new phone, and following these steps.

    Sorry for the confusion! I've refunded that $20 back to your account now - depending on your bank, you should see that refund posted back to your card within a few business days.

    when i add a wireless pin to my account, i always have to get ahold of support to get it added to my account.. is there a way to fix this? how long should it normally take? ive waited up to three days before and still ended up contacting support :/

    Hi Holly,

    Thanks for reaching out about this! I have taken a look a your account and see why they payments aren't going through automatically for you. It looks like you added the credit using the pin number after your account had already attempted to renew and as a result the account is unable to renew itself after that, so we've been doing it manually for you.

    I did go ahead and reactivate your service today using the account credit so you should be all set. In the future I would recommend adding the wireless pin to your account at least 24 hours before the plan is scheduled to renew to avoid any service interruptions.

    Hi Lonnie,

    Since you are using a free account, you can simply stop using your TextNow account and the number will expire if not used for multiple consecutive days. If you would like to remove the number from your account manually, you can do so by selecting the Release Number within your TextNow application settings.

    Looking at your account I was able to find a referral credit that was granted to you last month, which has since been used for a monthly payment so you will no longer see that on your account. However, if you've made a referral since the beginning of last month we will need to get more information from you to figure out why the credit was not awarded to you. Not sure what the diff would be. I started to do it & a window popped up saying something about the plan I'm on is discounted rate so I clicked cancel. I luv what I have, but if I can get more for the same amount 😎🤗.... Please help me 🤓 understand the differences.

    Hi Shannon,

    It is possible that your daughters' iPhones are not compatible with our network which is why they cannot be activated, we would need to confirm the IMEI numbers of each of their devices to check their compatibility for you. In regards to your network connection, the High Speed Data you're receiving each month will be either 3G or 4G depending on which network will provide you the best service in your area at any given time. If you're seeing 3G instead of 4G it's likely that your 4G coverage is poor so the 3G is used instead.

    I would recommend that you reach out to our live chat support team for assistance looking into your daughters' iPhone compatibility as well as a potential refund for your account balance. We will be available in the bottom right corner of this page until 9pm EST tonight to look into both of these things for you.

    Hi Jennifer,

    If you are using an Android device you can find your account balance in the menu of your TextNow application. Or if you are logged into your account on your browser, you can find your account balance by selecting the My Wireless Account option (as shown above) and you will then be able to see your account balance on that page.
