Change Your Payment Method

With TextNow, you can change your card on your account at any time, and make other adjustments to your payments and account balance. Here's how!

From this page you'll be able to edit or remove a card already associated with your account, add a new card to use as the default payment option, and add money to your account balance for use in future payments or for international long distance calling.

Edit or Remove a Credit/Debit Card:

1. Go to the My Wireless Account page and click on Manage Payments.

3. To delete the card, click Remove. Note that you cannot remove your Primary card, and we need to have at least one credit or debit card to use with your TextNow account.

Add a New Card:

1. Go to the My Wireless Account page and click on Manage Payments.

2. Click on Add a New Card.

I got a new card so I had to change my card info. I did all the steps to add a new card and have that as the primary card but it would continuously say that something went wrong? All the credit and billing information is correct so why does it keep saying something is wrong?

Hey Kia! It looks like your account was closed due to a recent billing dispute. Due to this, you no longer have a wireless account to manage.

We do apologize for the inconvenience, as our security protocols bar us from being able to reactivate the account.

Hey Wanda! We're afraid that any credits on your Account Balance can only be used toward a monthly bill payment. We do not support payment for devices through credits at this point in time.

    Hi Adasha,

You were awarded the $20 laborday credit when you made your purchase on the 8th. It as added to your existing account credit which you should now see in your TextNow app menu. If you do not see the credits there for any reason, please reach out to our live chat support team with a screenshot of what you see so we can look into this further.

    Hi Cynthia,

You can add a new credit card to your account for your next payment and then remove it once the payment has gone through successfully. All of this can be done directly through your TextNow account online, please take a look at our Billing Support Article here for more details.

I am supposed to have a $20 credit n my bill is 13.99 why do I have a $40 balance

  • Avatar
    Erin TextNow Support

    Hi Nicole,

I've taken a look at your account and see that you had a $20 credit plus an extra month of service paid for ($13.99) on your account. Your monthly bill was paid and then you added another $20 credit to your account. So your account balance is now $40 because that's how much additional credit you had purchased. Please keep in mind that your account balance is not what you owe, it is what you have access to already on your account. This balance can be used towards your future monthly payments.

I used a link from an email I received from my wife to join Text Now. I never received the $20 credit for the new customer or for buying a smartphone. So I need those credits before I decide to stay with you.

    Hi Luna,

Thanks for reaching out. I have taken a look at your account and see that the order you are speaking of was purchased back in October. We may have been able to find more information about why the credit was not applied to your account at the time, but currently we have no record of a referral code being used for your purchase which is why you were not awarded the credit. If you would like to investigate further we will need to get your wife's account information as well, so please email community@textnow.com if you would like further assistance.

When I ran out of minutes, my card was automatically charged. How do I turn off autopay?

  • Avatar
    Valeria TextNow Support

Hey Chasity! Doesn't look as though you were charged yet, your cycle is set to renew on Dec 27th.

Unfortunately, the only payment option we have is auto-renewal, so you would only be able to "turn it off" by suspending your billing (and therefore, also your service) for up to 3 months. To do that, please head over to our live chat support for further assistance :)

my debit card expired, i dont have a new one yet, can i use paypal to pay?

  • Avatar
    Erin TextNow Support

    Hi Lee,

We do not currently accept PayPal payments. We do accept Credit and Debit payments, including prepaid credit cards. If you do not receive your new debit card before your next billing period you can use a prepaid card for your next payment and then change it back once you get your new debit card if necessary.

Hi Ruby! It just looks like you added a $20 account credit after your monthly bill was already taken out.

The $20 credit is currently sitting on your account balance and would be used for your next month's payment. If you would still like that credit refunded, please let us know!
