How does upgrading or downgrading work?
Each TextNow data plan comes with a monthly data cap, starting at 1.5GB on the Tall plan and going all the way up to 10GB on the Quattro plan. This is the total amount of 3G/4G data your plan can use before switching over to the 2G network for unlimited use.
Changing your data plan changes your data cap. So, for example, if you were on a Grande plan, and you've used 2GB of data, upgrading to Venti during your cycle would raise your data cap to 3GB, giving you an extra 1GB of data for that month.
Note: If you've already used more data on your monthly plan than what the upgrade would provide, then you will not get any additional data. For example, if you were on a Tall plan for 500MB, but you've gone over your limit and have used a total of 1.5GB, upgrading to the next level (Grande) would not give you an additional 1.5GB.
You can upgrade and downgrade any time you like, and you can choose to change your plan during your current plan or set it to change for your next month.

To upgrade or downgrade your plan on the TextNow app:
1. Make sure your device has access to internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
2. Launch the TextNow app
3. Tap the Menu button in the top-left corner
4. Tap My Wireless Account
5. Tap Change Plan
6. Select the desired plan and tap Continue
7. Choose whether you'd like to upgrade immediately or on your next bill date.
8. Tap Confirm Changes
To upgrade or downgrade your plan online:

What happens after you upgrade:
If you choose to upgrade during your month, we raise your data cap immediately. Your debit/credit card will immediately be charged the difference between your current monthly plan and the new plan.
For example: If you upgrade from the Tall plan ($19.99) to the Grande plan ($27.99), you will be charged $8 ($27.99 - $19.99).
If you choose to upgrade for your next month, that will take effect on your next billing cycle. Your debit/credit card will be charged the downgraded plan when your next billing cycle starts.
What happens after you downgrade:
Downgrading a plan only takes effect on your next month of service. The plan change will take effect the next billing cycle. Your debit/credit card will be charged the downgraded plan when your next billing cycle starts.
Can I view my payment history?
You can! On your My Wireless Account page, click on Billing & Payments, and then click on View Payment History.
