Call Forwarding

The call forwarding feature allows you to forward incoming calls to any valid US or Canadian phone number. Please note that for free app users, Call Forwarding is only available if you purchase our Premium features in-app. 

How To Enable Call Forwarding

  1. From your TextNow app, tap on the Main Menu button in the top left-hand corner of the app.  
  2. From the main menu, tap Settings > Call Forwarding
  3. Enable Call Forwarding, check the checkbox and enter the number you would like to forward calls toward. 
  4. If you ever need to change the call forwarding number, select Forward To

    Sorry for the confusion!

    Call Forwarding is only available with a Premium package on the free app, or on our Textnow Wireless monthly subscriptions.

    Thanks for contacting TextNow Support!

    You should definitely be able to call and text without Wi-Fi on our monthly plans so I'm not too sure what would be causing the issue you are describing.

    Hello, I pay for Call Forwarding on the Free app and it rings to my Verizon cellphone # (personal number). My QUESTION is, does the caller hear my PERSONAL voicemail or the one I recorded through the TextNow # I have? Thank you!

    If you've gone ahead and set up your call forwarding to your personal number, the caller will end up hearing your personal voicemail.

    Why call forwarding has an expired date... And can I change the expired date?

    Hi Crystel,

    Your call forwarding will expire on the day that your premium service is paid up until. So if you would like to continue your premium service to receive the call forwarding once the current period has expired, you can simply renew the subscription then through your TextNow application :)

    Hey Cassandra,

    Thanks for the question. You'll just need to set your cell up to "call forward" to your TextNow phone number. Your call forwarding features will be managed by your current cell provider so you'll just need to reach out to them to get that set-up if your unsure on how to get that working.

    Hey Primo! Since your account has expired, you would essentially need to try and order a new phone as a new customer. You can log into your account on textnow.com/wireless and place the order for both the phone and a new plan, or speak with one of our live chat representatives for further assistance!
