Removing A Google Account From Your Phone

In some cases, you may have to delete the Google account on your phone for troubleshooting purposes. (Don't worry, you can always re-enable it after your phone is back in working order.)

The easiest way to do this is through the main Settings menu on your phone:

  1. Tap on the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to the Accounts section on your Settings menu and tap on the Google section of Accounts.
  3. Tap on the Google account you're currently signed into.
  4. Tap the icon for the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner (the icon has three dots) and select Delete Account.

If you're unable to get to the Settings menu to your phone, you can also delete the account from that device online through your Google account page:

  1. On a browser, sign into your Google account.
  2. Click on Sign In & Security
  3. Scroll down to Device Activity & Notifications, and look for the Recently Used Devices box
  4. Click on Review Devices
  5. Select the model of your TextNow phone and click on the Remove box.

    Hi Antavion!

Due to our subsidized phone prices, we usually have a restriction with regards to upgrading within your first 4 months of purchase. I've sent you an email with some options for you where we can make an exception this time, so please follow up with me there :)

I just purchased a phone and my daughter put a "draw pattern code" security lock on her phone. She forgot the pattern. I tried to recover her pattern by clicking on the "forgot pattern" and tried signing in through google but for some reason her phone isn't recognizing any of the passwords nor emails. Can someone please help me?

    Hi Taneia,

I'm sorry to hear you've been locked out of your phone!

To remove the lock screen from your device you will have to wipe it with an external factory reset. I've sent an email to the address on your account with the steps on how to proceed. If you have any other questions feel free to follow up with us there!
