How old does my teen have to be to use TextNow?

Your teen must be at least 13 years old to register for a TextNow account as indicated in our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If your child is under the age of 13 and has created a TextNow account, you can submit a deactivation request by emailing abuse@textnow.com and use the subject line ‘Parent Deactivation Request’.

If TextNow believes that an account belongs to a user under the age of 13, we will permanently disable the account.
