Need NETWORK PROFILE for iOS

I deleted the ios profile to see if it would fix conectivity issues using the sim and i am unable to find where i could download the network profile so that I can use textnow. This is frustrating that nothing is ever found any where. These file should be on the support site for easy access for iPhone users.

Can someone please assist me with downloading the network profile again? Activate Data Plan that appears in textnow app is no longer there after activating the sim card the first time (which didn't work)

Hi Kieko, 

Thanks for contacting TextNow Support!

the "Activate Data Plan" is really only available for CDMA devices, and as you purchased a GSM sim card, that won't necessarily be helpful in your case.

When I had ordered the SIM card, the person asked for which device it is going to be for and I had provided the type of phone I will be using which is the iPhone 6s Plus prior to having the sim shipped. So why would you send me a SIM that would not work?

I did go through the activate data plan in text now originally and it did activate. The issue I was having is with re-downloading the network profile as I deleted it. If my device is compatible, I would need the link to download the network profile again as in text now app the data plan was activated.

I was able to resolve the issue. It is working without the certificate. It provides cellular data that would allow you to use voip services to make calls. The resolution was: make sure the phone is unlocked. Which can be done online.

Latest iPhones support over 30 basebands (World Phone). The iphone will work once unlocked (IMEI)

Hey Terrance! 

Thanks for getting in touch. I've noticed your using a CDMA SIM card for that device, so we can actually perform and profile update in the device (Note: This will not work for GSM SIM cards!)

1. Connect to WiFi 

2. Tap the phone app (Native iPhone app) 

3. Dial # # 873283 # and tap Call

4. Starting Service Update message will appear - tap OK

5. If update is successful Service Update Complete message will appear after about a minute - tap OK
