TextNow not ringing on iPad Pro

My iPad Pro (iOS 10.2.1) will not ring when the TextNow number is dialed from a phone. A free Notification Sound is selected in TextNow Settings. Also, in Notifications Settings on iPad, the Sound option is enabled.

Can anyone advise me of what I've missed?

Thanks for your inquiry!

In order to receive calls to your TextNow account on your iPad, you will have to ensure that you are logged into the correct TextNow account when the call is made. You will also want to ensure that your device is successfully connected to a reliable wifi network.

If you're still having trouble, it is possible that you still need to enable the notifications permissions for the TextNow application in the Settings of the iPad itself.

Regarding the previous response, all settings appear correct on iPad and in Text Now app. the calls go through and the iPad screen announces the call visually but no ring tone.

Having the exact same issue on my iPad Pro as well. Get calls, but no ringtone.

Hi Freya,

As previously suggested, you will want to make sure your sound button is unlocked on the iPad itself, if it is locked it is essentially set to silent mode.

This is not the case for an iPad Pro - that "switch" is located in the Control Centre. And in my case it is in the proper position. Other messaging services ring properly.

I have the same issue with my iPad.  I even deleted the text now app and re-installed it and still no sound when I receive a call or text message

Having the same problem on my IPad Mini. No sound for incoming call or when texting.  Other aspects work fine.
