Can't get a code from Facebook

Dear,

I tried to register my Facebook account by giving in my Textnow mobile number. Facebook says they will send me a confirmation code, but I never got one. I tried several times, since one week now. I have also sent "Fb" to 32665. Nothing back. I didn't add special characters

When I enter my phone nr, I get this message from FB:

You should receive a text at +1 xxx-xxx-xxxx with your confirmation code soon.

Hi Bob,

Sorry for the inconvenience, but because we are a virtual number service, some companies do not accept TextNow numbers for short codes. We are currently working on a fix for this, but please contact Facebook support to either ask them to add your number to their list of accepted numbers, or for other verification options.

Hi Breeze,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm afraid that your Facebook login would be controlled through Facebook (or the email address associated with your Facebook account).

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and/or concerns!

At the time of this writing there appears to be an issue with Facebooks two factor authorization, if that's it it would not be the fault of Textnow or that the short code is not compatible. I'll try to include the link but not sure if this forum will accept, but it does appear to be an issue with FB. Of course, it is possible there's both a Facebook issue AND there's a short code compatibility issue. Pretty lame for a big company like FB considering it works with a bunch of other services these days..
