If you're trying to send an email to text to your TextNow account, you will actually need to use your TextNow texting address. You can find this in the menu of your TextNow application, but it is [YourUsername]@textnow.me
Using Windows computer to test texting to my textnow.com account
I am accustomed to texting to family and friends, and my own flip-phone from my computer by using email to sent text-only, or MMS where needed. I now have a new textnow.com account. I have tried sending texting email to my self [mytextnow-number]@txt.textnow.com and/or textnow.com. That is how I do it with the regular carriers like verizon, and, sprint, etc. The textnow.com server returns "not authorized" message. How do I make this work?
The response from the remote server was:
550 5.4.1 [firstname.lastname@example.org]: Recipient address rejected: Access denied [TO1CAN01FT008.eop-CAN01.prod.protection.outlook.com]
