By the way, I am on a stock Sprint 6.0.1 ROM if that matters. Though as I understand it, this should only affect call quality and things like the data > Wi-Fi hand-offs.
Been getting 500 kbps up & down on LTE
Over the past 2 weeks or so my connection speeds have dropped drastically and now I'm sitting at 500 kbps up and down even though I'm within the LTE coverage area for Sprint. I've tried updating the PRL and Profile, toggled air plane mode, and I've waited for awhile for it to correct itself -- in case it's just Sprints issue. But it doesn't seem to be clearing up, any ideas?

Sorry, I have a quick question for you: you're no longer using the TextNow ROM on your Galaxy S6?
Well I thought chat supports solution to type ##72whatever# into Phone and reset the defaults fixed the issue, and it did, but only for the next speed test. The 2nd test about 30 seconds later was back the the same 2G speeds.
But yes, I switched to the stock Sprint 6.0.1 ROM. Would this affect my data connection? As I understood things it would only affect things like call quality and data>wi-fi call handoffs. Whatever Enflick deals with.
Our ROM can affect connection speeds, in that our ROM is designed to work through the TextNow system. Also, using a Sprint ROM will break the TextNow service.
My strong suggestion is to flash it back to the stock TextNow ROM and see if it affects your connection speeds.
Could I get a copy of the the TextNow ROM for my phone?
Just wondering, how does this affect your BYOP service? Do you guys have them flash to the TextNow ROM?
With regards to the Bring Your Own Sprint Device service, it definitely affects the quality of calls. Download speeds aren't (or shouldn't) be affected as the BYOSD devices are ones that have been already activated on Sprint through their network, as opposed to our TextNow devices that are fresh activations. But as your phone is a TextNow device, putting the Sprint ROM on might be the cause of the slowdown.
I've sent the ROM link to the email we have for you on file. Let me know if I can be of any other assistance!
Thanks for the ROM file. I went ahead and flashed to the stock TextNow ROM and ran all of the system updates but I'm still having the same speeds; about 700kbps-1mbps down and 1-1.5mbps up. I ran a PRL/Profile update, toggled airplane mode, and tried setting the network to LTE/CDMA only but it's still the same.
I remember when I de-activated a few weeks ago and tried to move this phone over to Sprint the agent added this phone to some Sprint database, he seemed surprised that it wasn't on there so he just added it, maybe he was activating it on their network?
If that's the case then is there a difference in your provisioning for BYOP or TextNow devices? I'm guessing it's possible that this phone is now essentially a BYOP device with the TextNow ROM flashed onto it.
