Text messages truncated, French "é" missing

Since some days, I noticed that my text messages can be received truncated in many parts. That some characters are missing in the message, for example the apostrophe, sometimes the "é". The "é" is not replaced by a space, it is simply missing from the word. Very weird. What can I do to correct this issue? Is that an encoding problem? It happens whatever the phone the sender is using (iPhone or Android). Please advise. FYI, I have Premium.

Hi Marc,

It happens with all of my contacts and it's only when RECEIVING texts messages.

Doesn't matter if it's on wifi or cellular.

Let took these sentences in French :
Merci de m'avoir avisé. C'est très gentil. Bonne journée à toi aussi.

TextNow to =>> external contact
They received it flawlessly :
Merci de m'avoir avisé. C'est très gentil. Bonne journée à toi aussi.

External contact to =>> TextNow,
This is what I get:
Merci de m'avoir avis. C'est trs gentil. Bonne journe toi aussi.

As you can see, there is no "é" after avis, the "è" for the word très is skipped. The "é" in journée is not there and the  "à" between journée and toi is skipped.

I tried it with 2 contacts that are on different canadians wireless carriers (Telus and Rogers).

This is VERY annoying.

Also I must add that this problem doesn't occur when using the regular SMS/MMS from cellular carrier (I have an unlocked phone and swapped my SIM with a friend). Sorry for you but it's a problem with either your app or the way your network receive SMS.

I can't believe that this problem wasn't reported to you by other customers who use latin languages (French, Espanol, Portuguese, etc).

I know this post is more than 2 years old, but I too am having the exact same issue when some French characters like é, à and ç are missing.
This happens on the web app, android tablet app and android phone app.
Sometimes I can't figure what the text even means because there's so many characters missing  :-(
