Hi Sharday! Let me try to answer these in order:
1. If you want to port a TextNow number out of our service (meaning to use that number with another carrier), then you would need your account and pin number with TextNow, to provide your new carrier with.
From what it sounds like, you're attempting to activate your own phone with our service. In that case, if you're looking to keep using the same TextNow number, you do not need to fill out any porting information. Your same TextNow information will remain.
2. If you want to use your own phone, there will be some cases where it will need one of our own SIM cards, and others where it will not. I won't be able to tell you for sure without knowing what model/carrier/IMEI the phone you're looking to use has.
If you'd like to purchase your own phone, there will be some stipulations for it to be eligible with our own service. It will have to be carrier-unlocked, GSM or CDMA compatible. Again, only true way to find out is through the IMEI number of the phone.
