TOS Clarification

On https://www.textnow.com/terms section 18, it says,

You shall not, directly or indirectly, to do any of the following acts in connection with Your use of the Services or the App: (i) reverse engineer, de-compile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying ideas or algorithms of the Services or the App; (ii) modify, translate, or create derivative works based on the Services or the App

Does creating a script/program that uses the API (e.g. https://github.com/dPhoeniixx/Textnow-API) and posting the source of my created script/program publicly violate the terms of service?

It will be an open-source, non-commercial script/program.

Hi,

What you have described would be a violation of our terms of use, yes.

Oh, that's too bad.

I don't see why such a restriction is in place. If it was allowed, I can see how TextNow can get more exposure.
