cannot send text "Tap to retry"

Yesterday I installed textnow's app on my 4GLTE and wa able to send & receive calls.  Today, I dial a number, touch the call icon ... and it goes back one screen (call log)

When I try to send a text msg, it says "Tap to retry"  After about 20 or 30 "taps" I'm pretty much convinced that textnow is not going to send the text.

No voice, no text ... excellent wi-fi connection ... What do I need to do to get it to function again?!?

Hi, 

If there's no issue with your network connection, I would recommend completing the steps here and then trying again.

If you continue to have trouble once those steps are complete, please let us know.

I'm unable to send messages. I even tried texting my coworker and I got the same response "unable to send: please retry". It was working fine 3 hours ago. I even reinstalled it.
