Hey Chris! Emojis should be supported on a basic level (they use system fonts).

So for example, if you type in :) , it should show up as an emoji in the conversation

Which browser and system OS are you using?

Hmmm that's strange.

On a Mac, I have not been able to reproduce the "black square" issue.

Out of curiosity, are you able to pull up an emoji "keyboard" by pressing ctl+cmd+space on your computer?

The ctl+cmd+space does bring up emojis on my mac but I can't use those on the TextNow browser app it seems unfortunately

How so? What happens when you use them in conversations?

ctl+cmd+space only brings up a catalogue of emojis that my mac accepts but I can't copy or drag them into TextNow browser messages or do anything with them.

When I'm typing a message on TextNow browser app and say I type in a :) only a square pops up. No emoji. I think the recipient can see it, but I can't...

Also- Thank you Valeria for always being so responsive and helpful here on TextNow community. It makes me want to use TextNow more.

OK, no worries!

When you pull up the emoji keyboard through that key shortcut, simply search for the emoji you wish to use and double click on it. So the steps would be:

While typing out your message in the TextNow field, press on ctrl+cmd+space. Pick the emoji and double click on it. It should populate in the message.

The double-click worked! Thank you! Wonder if you guys can add a button that brings up that command instead of having to manually do the command? Thanks again!!
