PC app, not working correctly.

I have a windows 10 PC, up to date on all drives and windows updates.

I have the PC app installed. when I try to call someone, the phone rings, they answer and then dead air... the phone buttons do not work, I can't hear them and they can't hear me. 

I tried in an Chrome browser window.  same thing.

I can receive a call ok and they can here me fine and I can hear them.

Outgoing calls, are the problem.

This issue has happened before on my Android phone ( with the latest app)as well. but sometimes it works.  

I have tried uninstalling the app from my PC, reboot and redownload and install.

same issue. I let the phone number expire, new phone number same issue.

I have tried calling 5 different numbers... all have the same problem of dead air, after they answer.

What is going on?

Well Tech support sucks!  I waited from 5 pm to 5:22 pm in queue.

then was answering a few questions and Boom at 5:30.. The support window closed. gone!

 

so Valeria, how about you put a real solution here in the "help" forums? rather then just tell everyone to contact live chat support.

answers to the questions from live support, private wifi,  No VPN or proxy, worked for over a year until about 1 month ago.  

yes, I can dial the number, I hear it ringing, they answer.  then Nothing, dead air on both sides.

Also the PC screen shows "in call" and nothing but dead air.

I have to hang up the call to end it... otherwise it stays connected.  once waited over 10 mins..just to check.

Hey Bozz, I do apologize, but this isn't something that is easy to troubleshoot over a forum such as this. 

Currently, this is not an issue that has been reproduced or reported elsewhere. So we'd need your logs to be able to escalate this properly. To do that, after an outgoing call that went dead, please open up the menu of the app (or the browser) and tap on "Help"- "Download Debug Logs" 

After those have been downloaded, please send them to us at community@textnow.com (you can address the email to me), so we can open up a ticket for you with our development team.
