Hi there - what windows OS are you using and what version of the TextNow desktop app are you using?
The windows desktop app needs some serious work
There is absolutely no order in this app. With no search feature or advanced options, the interface is lazy and uninspired at the very best. You should delete the entirety of the current app and just start over. I'd imagine if you can afford to keep selling phones, you can afford to make an interface for your service that actually WORKS. Sometimes, the dumb notification pops up in the bottom right corner. Funny thing happens if you click it. 80% of the time it does not bring up the window, and at least 20% of the time, it will keep ringing, OPEN the application window, and pretend as if there is no call coming through. Then I have to restart the app. When voicemails are left, they are either 0 seconds long, or corrupted entirely. Very rarely does a voicemail come through properly. I have to wait about 5 seconds after answering the phone, otherwise no one can hear me. After having the app open for a few hours, I have to go to task manager and END THE TASK to reset it properly, as it will start dropping calls/auto rejecting them. There is no indicator on the interface or any icon or bubble that indicates whether you have received or sent a call. So good luck remembering who you did and didn't call back, unless you have a lot of pens and paper at your workstation.
So here is my question for the textnow dev team
Do you plan on ever improving your interface, or are you going to keep bullsh*tting people with your useless tech support and clear lack of motivation? If you can't find any meaning in your work, then call it a day, tank the company, and stop wasting people's time and energy. It's ridiculous that after a year, your team has done NOTHING to improve the windows application. If you were gonna slap us all in the face and tell us to go jump off a bridge, you could have at least done it in person rather than make us suffer from your passive-aggressive ineptitude.

I am using Windows 10. After enough fumbling through windows, due to the fatuous nonsense of having the app tied/locked-down to the Microsoft Store, I was not able to find a local executable file for the app to find the version number. So after doing it by my less favorable method, I have come to the conclusion I am using version 220.127.116.11
I would also like to note that if that isn't the current version, the Store doesn't provide an "Update" feature to update my app, only uninstall. So, to remedy that, if Windows isn't automatically updating my apps... You could write a stand alone desktop application and distribute it yourselves, with an update feature. The whole thing needs to be re-done from the ground up with a search, keeping track of call logs INCLUDING INCOMING AND OUTBOUND, not EXCLUSIVELY missed calls. Whatever is causing voicemails to either mute, corrupt, or come through as zero seconds long, should be looked into as well. I don't understand how some of these annoyances/detriments to use do not exist on android, however they've been present in the PC version the entire time I've used it.
Can you please confirm whether the same voicemail issues persist on the same account when signing into it on a desktop browser?
